Today kicks off Dr. Seuss week in celebration of the Good Dr.'s Birthday!
I don't know about you, but we are major Dr. Seuss freaks in our household. We have just about every book he ever wrote, and we read one probably at least once a day!
Joey's school is celebrating all week by having a different themed day each school day...Today is Green Eggs and Ham day, they will read the story in class and someone will come in and make Green Eggs and Ham for the kids. I have made them many times before, so I was happy to make them again this morning for the kids!
They love to help me cook and it really is super easy, you just beat the eggs, add green food coloring, then add the other ingredients and cook as usual...
MMM, Green Eggs and Ham, Corn Muffins made from scratch, and peaches! Yummo!
I actually made the corn muffins last night to have with dinner..we had homemade chili, and it was super good..I can't take credit for the chili though, that was all J. He makes the BEST chili!
What was I talking about...LOL..oh yea! Dr. Suess week!
So, besides Green Eggs and Ham, the school is having Crazy Sox day, in honor of Fox in Sox, so the kids get to wear their craziest socks..Joey is currently deciding between his army camo socks or his sports ball socks...decisions, decisions!
I think he is most excited for Pajama day, which is tomorrow, I remember being so excited about Pajama day when I was Elementary Age, the thought of wearing my NKOTB nightgown to school! RAD! Hahahaha!
We got this game for Christmas:
and this game is pretty fun, so I think we'll play this game this week during our game time...we usually play a game after dinner, before bath, almost every night..this one is kind of annoying to set up, but is really fun once you play!
In un-realated news: Lily has become a full flown toddler. I mean, full on tantrums..it's quite amusing at times, especially when she rolls on the floor and bangs her hands and feet! (Note the sarcasm)
The last few weeks have been crazy, she has seemed so unlike herself...she got EIGHT, count them, EIGHT molars all in the same week. So yeah, she is cranky! She now has 16 teeth! WOW!
Lily really is the most amazing baby, she has been so chill her entire existence, and it's been really heartbreaking to see her so unhappy. Poor baby. I'm hoping that since the teeth have all broken through and are quite big, that she will become her usual self again...I have to share with you later this week all the words she is saying, it's crazy! Of course I am totally biased, but I swear I have the smartest kids! LOL!
My favorite thing she says right now is "There ya go!" It's hilarious...we realized that everytime we give her something, her bunny, her cup, her binky, we say: "There ya go!" and she has picked this up..but the funny thing is she says it when she WANTS something! She will point to something and say: "There ya go!" There ya go!" There ya go!" which translates to: GIVE IT TO ME!
Then, if you give it to her she says: "Tay-To0" (Thank You)
Sigh. I love this girl!
I will be back later today probably with some layouts to share!
